Pacific Sun Drops Mana and Malololailai
On July 1, 2010, Pacific Sun stopped flying from Nadi Airport to Mana and Malololailai islands due to a "lack of economic performance" which is a polite way of saying "not enough bums on the seats". Mamanuca tourists now have no choice other than to use the regular catamaran services or expensive charter flights. The Mololo Cat to Malololai has added an additional sailing from Port Denarau and they now leave Nadi at 0730, 1030, 1400, and 1730 daily. The South Sea Cruises catamaran to Mana Island still leaves Nadi at 0900, 1215, and 1515, as before. Of course, you can always get to Mana on Ratu Kini's boat from Wailoaloa Beach if you're a bit adventurous.
