The other day the Fiji Museum posted a story about a 1954 film called His Majesty O'Keefe. It was filmed in Fiji and starred one of my favorite Hollywood actors, Burt Lancaster.
This is not a film that won an academy award. It was essentially a "B" movie but it remains my all time favorite shot in Fiji. It's fun to watch the gang banter in Fijian. Everyone is having such a good time. You get the idea that Fijians are also natural actors! Boy do they love to ham it up.
If you have the opportunity, rent the film which is based on the 1950 novel His Majesty O'Keefe by Lawrence Klingman and Gerald Green.
Be sure and check out Fijiguide.com's film page too...
