The biggest buzz in Suva these days is the impending opening of the Grand Pacific Hotel sometime this month. The $90 million makeover of this South Pacific icon coincides with the 100th anniversary of the hotel.

This little scrap of history was posted by the Fiji Museum. It consists of servicemen from Fiji arriving in England for the Victory Parade in April of 1946.
