Fiji is 240v system, you will need a transformer plug.

Thanx Marilyn i am not sure about australian outlets, i never beeing there, for example to charge the camera do you need an transformer of power, are the plug european style or american? Cao

Electrical outlets are the same as NZ & Australia. They do have internet access for guests but I'm not sure if you can use your own laptop or if you have to use their computer.

I would suggest you go on the Octopus website and see what they have. You might even email them directly and ask them.

Silvana - have you checked which currency each is quoted in? (Octopus is in US$, Blue Lagoon is FJ$ - there is quite a difference).

hello Rob, i am finilizing my trip but i would like to know if you can suggest me one more place for me to stay beside the octopus, i like their rate which is $57 a day with meals, someone suggested blue lagoon but is too expensive for me, do you know other places not so expensive more like the octopus rates? if not i guess i could stay at octopus for the all 2 weeks, but i do not want to get bored, thanks  for your help, Silvana

ok i will try that, i got an answer from octopus, i am confused, they have 3 different accomodations around $20 a night not including the food listed in their website but they told me they have accomodation for $64 a night including food, it does…

The only way is on the Yasawa Flyer. It is a very large (motor) catamaran - 3 levels high (you can see pictures on their website www.awesomefiji.com). If you book with Blue Lagoon Resort they will arrange the booking for you, and also the transfer…

i am going to fiji at the end of may for 2 weeks with my 12 years old daughter, i wanted to know where should i go, i am not interested in staying in resort, but seeing more of the local lifestyle maybe in a bungalow or such. Please feel free to contact me with some suggestions, i am also arriving in Nadi late night and i need to find o place to sleep for the 1st night not too far from the airport. Thanx so much

As the others have said there are plenty of options in and around the Nadi area for a one night stay - it all depends on budget, jump onto www.fijime.com and check under Nadi region and then look at other regions you are interested in.. I'm sure you will find something to suit your needs, Fiji has changed significantly in product offerings in the past 4 years.
