Does anyone know the legal age to book a hotel for two in Suva? I myself am 20. I understand different hotels might have different rules, but is there a general consensus?

Bula Max, in all my trips to Fiji I have never been asked to show funds of any kind... sufficient or other wise... Just the fact you have an ongoing ticket is all they check for to the best of my knowledge...

I've never heard of that being an issue. So long as you have the resources to pay for it they will take your money.

The more money you have on hand the better--after all you don't have to spend it all. You don't want to give them a reason not to accept you.

Thanks, Robert. I'm actually staying for one month with an Indo-Fijian "second" family. If they ask i'll explain that to them, and i'll have some travelers checks as well.

I've never had that come up in 30 years except when I was staying for an extended period of time. They basically don't want visitors living off the locals so if the immigration authorities don't like what they see they'll want to…
