Water used in making Kava
We are very excited about our trip to Fiji this Saturday! We anticipate that we may be offered Kava and would like to give it a go, however we are concerned about the water used. As travelers, we are always warned about drinking untreated, contaminated water, so can anyone tell me whether the water used in making Kava would be safe to drink?

I wouldn't worry about it unless you were possibly in a very remote area. I can't ever recall getting sick from drinking kava.

My wife and I had kava a dozen times on three islands and never got sick.
