Kite Surfing on Tavarua Island Fiji
I recently took a trip to Tavarua Island, Fiji with some friends to go kiteboarding. This island has long been a popular destination for surfers and now is becoming a more popular destination for kitesurfers/windsurfers. When the trade winds were strong the surf spot Cloudbreak turns into a good spot for kiting and sailboarding. The winds aren’t always perfect for surfing in Fiji, on Namotu and Tavarua, but when the surfers were coming in for lunch and taking a break, we geared up and headed out for some epic kiteboarding! Tavarua is a fun place for beginner kiteboarders or for advanced riders. The better you get, the farther out off the island and onto the reefs you can go! If you are thinking about traveling to Fiji to do some windsurfing or kiteboarding I would recommend Tavarua Island to anyone (any skill level). If anyone else has any other kite spots in Fiji they know of please feel free to comment and share.

Hi Chris, I suggest you contact Uri at Adrenalin Fiji (uri@adrenalinfiji.com). I'll bet he knows some places. I just ran into him up here at Palmlea (near Labasa) which is just opening up to surfing...
