First Time To Fiji
Hi Everyone
My friend and I are wanting to go to fiji for a week or so at the start of July. We are after a cheap holiday with lots of drink and party. We are wanting some advice on where to go in order to meet like minded people?

I wish I could tell you which island to visit based on first-hand information, but from hearsay, I'd say your best bet may be found in the Mamanuca Islands group. These islands are very close to the international airport. I'd look at Beachcomber Island first, but there are other resorts that may satisfy your curiosity as well. One of the uninhabited islands from this group was featured in the movie "Castaway" (though not the island where the resort "Castaway" is located).

Another group of islands to consider, just north of the Mamanucas, is the Yasawas. See:

Some of the resorts on the Yasawas, while not as dedicated to partying as Beachcomber, do serve the youth (non-honeymoonesque) market and they're relatively inexpensive.
Unfortunately, I've never visited the Yasawas either - but - from all reports, they have sugar white sand. There are some great resources (people) on this website that have visited the western islands and hopefully they'll reach out to you soon.
