Fiji Guide

The most trusted source on Fiji

Hi all, we stayed at Octopus Resort last November and fell in love with the place. We want to go back again this year but just wanted to know from you seasoned travellers when is the absolute bst time of the year to visit. Any advice is appreciative. Thanks Sharon

The Yasawas are usually dry...anytime is the best!

Hi Sharon,

Best weather in Fiji is June through October.  It's not as hot, a lot less humid, and a bonus is less mossies (mosquitos) since they need standing water to breed and it doesn't rain much from June on.  November is till usually decent, and May is pretty good as well.  December though April is cyclone season which doesn't mean they are going to get one, but the conditions that create them will be there; hot and humid.

Thank you so much Rick. Really appreciate your informative advice. I reckon we might go in August.

Have a great day. Cheers Sharon :)

check out Mountain Gateway Fiji on Facebook and inbox them of your interests they will surely help.

Cheap prices on tours and amazingly close to Nadi Town.

We are usually at Octopus in late September or early October, it's good then. Just be aware that is school holiday time for Aust/NZ and so gets booked up well in advance. Don't be put off by that though, it's not the kind of place where kids run wild and take over!
