Matangi Island is 240 acres of beach, rainforest, peace and serenity, and is owned and operated by the Douglas family. This private island is just east of Taveuni, set amid some of Fiji’s best diving in the Northern Group. Catering to a very limited group of discerning travelers, there are only 9 deluxe Beachfront Bures, 2 Island Bures plus 3 premium ‘Tree House’ bures. All bures are constructed of local materials, with high ceilings and tiled floors. Each bure is different, yet all offer comparable luxuries including separate and spacious living and sleeping areas, king beds with fine linens, day beds, ceiling fans and private verandahs. The beach is just metres away, and soft lapping of waves serenade you to sleep at night, or invite you to join in with snorkeling or diving during the day. |
